Is my digital piano compatible with the Keysnake?
The Keysnake is compatible with the vast majority of digital pianos and keyboards.
The Keysnake plugs into either MIDI DIN, USB B or Micro USB B ports. Your digital piano or keyboard likely has at least one of these port types. What these ports look like can be seen on our homepage under 'Step 1. Plug In'.
The Keysnake is designed to fit the standard piano key size (each white key being approximately 23mm wide).
The Keysnake is not compatible with the following models digital pianos:
Yamaha DGX-640
Casio CDP-120
The Keysnake does not work with accoustic pianos.
Is my smart device compatible with the Keysnake?
The PlugAndPlink app runs on both Android and Apple iOS devices.
What length is the Keysnake? Will it fit on my digital piano?
The Keysnake's body is four octaves long - this means it has 49 lights for 49 keys.
Factoring the neck and head in, the Keysnake fits comfortably on digital pianos 61 keys and over.
The Keysnake is designed to fit over standard sized piano keys.
A piano with standard sized keys will have white keys 22-23mm in width.
If you have a larger digital piano, if you want to access high or low notes outside the Keysnake's range, you can quickly and easily recalibrate the Keysnake one octave up or down if needs be.
The Keysnake's neck is bendable, meaning you can bend the head away from the keys on a larger piano.
Who is the Keysnake for?
The Keysnake is designed to be used by players between a beginner and intermediate level.
Which songs does the Keysnake have?
With no account creation or payment needed, you can download the PlugAndPlink app and browse the song library freely.
Customers can request songs they would like added to the library.
Is there a subscription cost?
No! We currently only charge an upfront, one-off cost for the Keysnake
All features available at the time of purchase will remain free for ten years. Where subscriptions may be charged in the future, these will not apply to existing customers.
Do I need to buy any wires to use the Keysnake?
No! You are supplied with all the wires you may need.
Can I return it if I am not satisfied?
Yes! You have 30 days once you have received your Keysnake if you wish to receive a refund.
How do I return a Keysnake?
If you are within 30 days of receiving your Keysnake and wish to return it, please go to the 'Help' section of our app, and select 'Chat'. Alternatively, Whatsapp message us at +44 1908 714468
From here we can guide you on the returns process according to the country you are in.
Once we receive the Keysnake, please allow up to 14 days for us to refund your purchase and your shipping costs.
What if my Keysnake stops working?
The Keysnake is both FCC and CE tested. However, in the unlikely event that there is a problem with your Keysnake, our guarantee covers you for 12 months for a repair or replacement.
